Well, this is an interesting pairing.
Nicole Kidman and Nicolas Cage will be playing a married couple in TRESPASS directed by Joel Schumacher.
Nu Image/Millennium is looking to start production around August in Louisana. Irwin Winkler (ROCKY BALBOA), Avi Lerner (RAMBO), and Danny Dimbort (THE EXPENDABLES) will produce.
The action-adventure is written by Karl Gajdusek and Eli Richbourg, both relatively unknown. Richbourg was at one time an assistant to Schumacher on everyone’s favorite, BATMAN & ROBIN. Gajadusek was story editor of the series, DEAD LIKE ME as well as writer on 4 of the episodes.
The story, “centers on a husband and wife taken hostage by four brutal perpetrators seeking easy cash. Complications ensue amid the unexpected discovery of betrayal and deception.”
TRESPASS is the fourth collaboration between Cage and Nu Image/Millennium Films following the recently wrapped DRIVE ANGRY. The other two include: THE BAD LIEUTENANT: PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS and THE WICKER MAN.
