It is perhaps a cliche to be a young male who digs on reading Chuck Klosterman but that’s OK because his stuff is so well-written I can enjoy it without feeling like a stereotype. I just finished reading his first novel “Downtown Owl” and thought that might make it to the big screen but one of his previous memoirs beat it to the punch. Klosterman has sold the film rights to “Killing Yourself to Live,” a memoir that evolved from the author’s work investigating the death sites of famous rock musicians (like Kurt Cobain and Buddy Holly died). But really the heart of the story is Klosterman’s relationships with four women in his life. Hard to describe in this short article but trust me, it’s worth your time (click here to check it out on Amazon). Klosterman will executive produce the film but so far no word on him writing the screenplay.
