Kong: Skull Island gets even better as John Goodman joins the cast

For me, John Goodman is one of those actors whose mere presence elevates any film that he's in, and Deadline reports that the latest film which he'll gift with his presence will be KONG: SKULL ISLAND. I should probably stop lying to myself and just admit that I'm actually quite looking forward to KONG: SKULL ISLAND; with Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly, Toby Kebbell, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, and now John Goodman in the cast…we may have something quite fun on our hands.

KONG: SKULL ISLAND will be "about a man (Hiddleston) who travels to the mythical island and home of the king of the apes. A team of explorers ventures inside what they find to be a treacherous island." Goodman's role will be that of a government official named Randa who leads an expedition to Skull Island. Per Variety, another new member of the cast will be Thomas Mann (ME AND EARL AND THE DYING GIRL) who will play a member of said expedition.

After Jordan Vogt-Roberts' KONG: SKULL ISLAND and an upcoming sequel to GODZILLA, the hope is to have the two titans finally face off in an epic battle. KONG: SKULL ISLAND is set for a March 10, 2017 release while the GODZILLA sequel arrives on June 8, 2018.
