Kosinski into Oblivion

People who have seen the 3-D footage from TRON LEGACY say it’s awesome. Personally, I was not blown away by the teaser, but then again, I’m not a big TRON geek and never have been, so I don’t get the excitement for a new one. The director, Joseph Kosinski, must have something though, because he’s got his next film lined up, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The project is called OBLIVION, and it’s based on an illustrated novel created by Kosinski. The story centers on a battle-damaged soldier who, assigned to a desolate planet after a court-martial, patrols the bleak landscape in an effort to destroy the last vestiges of a primitive alien race. When a mysterious traveler arrives unexpectedly, their lives become inextricably linked as they are forced to question everything they know about this world and themselves.
