Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Bruce Willis cast in new Woody Allen film

Woody Allen has released a film every single year since 1982. I know everyone already knows that but it amazes me each time I hear it. The man loves making movies and he’s not making these films for you or me; he’s making them for himself and I think that’s an admirable goal for any creative pursuit.

Despite working on his first TV series he’s found the time to begin casting for his 2016 film which is of course untitled at the moment. Allen never seems to have any trouble finding stars to appear in his pictures, everybody wants to work with the guy. So without further ado we present the latest inductees to the Woody Allen filmography; Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, and Bruce Willis.

Jesse Eisenberg has appeared in a Woody Allen film before, TO ROME WITH LOVE, but both Willis and Stewart are newcomers.

Allen's latest film, IRRATIONAL MAN, was recently picked up by Sony Pictures Classics and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, and Parker Posey. Phoneix stars as a college philosophy professor in an existential crisis who enters into a relationship with a student to give his life new purpose. The film currently has no release date but obviously we'll be seeing it hit theaters this year.

Truth be told I’m not a big Woody Allen fan; there are films of his I’ve enjoyed but I don’t worship him as others seem to do. That said, I’m glad he’s out there churning out films. Somebody has to.
