Whoa baby, the folks at Collider just posted a doozy of a rumor. According to their “inside source”, the man who brought us AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON is now being considered to replace Mark Romanek as director of THE WOLF MAN. It’s certainly a tushy-tingling prospect seeing an iconic 80s director back to lycanthropic form but the things he’s done in recent years don’t exactly inspire confidence. Either way, this is more good news than bad. It’s John effing Landis we’re talking about, after all. He’ll at least try to bring some soul to the character. Not that it wouldn’t be good to see The Rat’s vision of The Wolf Man at a Playboy mansion orgy after barely escaping a nuclear reactor explosion but sometimes well-rounded character and story is a little better.
Landis for Wolf Man?
