Laurie Holden is no stranger to fighting the apocalypse and working with Frank Darabont at the same time. She was a surviving member of the grocery store attacked by giant creatures in Darabont’s THE MIST, and now she gets to be a surviving member in a world filled with zombies in Darabont’s THE WALKING DEAD on AMC.

According to THR, Holden will take on the role of Andrea, a key member of the survivor group who has a proficiency with a sniper rifle and falls for a man twice her age.

Word up. Holden is pretty hot (though in a weird way I can’t quite place), and she can rock the badass role like no other (see SILENT HILL).

It also looks like one Steven Yeun, a relative newbie, has been added to the team of survivors out looking for a new place to live in a world swarming with zombies, led by the all-American badass Rick Grimes.

If there’s one TV show that I’m looking forward to, it’s THE WALKING DEAD. The cast, crew, and premise alone have me sold. Can’t wait for an official still or the trailer to get me really pumped about it. Stick around for more on THE WALKING DEAD as we hear it!
