Lee rocks to Krater

JoBloJoBlo

Jason Lee, one-time stink palmer, has signed on to star in and produce the Warner Bros. comedy KRATER. The film would star Lee as the leader of a late-70s/early-80s metal band whose lead singer has aspirations of performing on Broadway (shades of SKID ROW and Sebastian Bach?). The script is being written by J.D. Ryznar who currently writes for VH1’s “The Department of Acceptable Media,” the comedy series produced by Jack Black. Lee will produce with Scott M. Martin who he worked with previously on ALMOST FAMOUS. The project hasn’t been given the official greenlight yet but Lee and Warner Bros. hope to get the project into production in May when “My Name is Earl” is on hiatus. Lee recently wrapped up voicing the title character in Disney’s live-action/animated film UNDERDOG, which he worked on concurrently with “Earl.”
