Last week we got a peek at the UK trailer for the Liev Schreiber-starring sci-fi thriller THE LAST DAYS ON MARS and today the film's first poster has arrived. While the poster suffers from floating head syndrome, it does have a pretty decent tagline: "The search for life is about to end". I was sold on this one the moment I found out that Liev Schreiber would be fighting re-animated space corpses—who wouldn't want to see that shit? Also, I'm a sucker for a good sci-fi horror flick, and based on the UK trailer, THE LAST DAYS ON MARS looks like it's going to deliver the goods. Check it out right HERE if you missed it!

Look for THE LAST DAYS ON MARS to hit VOD this October 31st before it lands in theaters on December 6th!

On the last day of the first manned mission to Mars, a crew member of Tantalus Base believes he has made an astounding discovery – fossilized evidence of bacterial life. Unwilling to let the relief crew claim all the glory, he disobeys orders to pack up and goes out on an unauthorized expedition to collect further samples. But a routine excavation turns to disaster when the porous ground collapses, and he falls into a deep crevice and near certain death. His devastated colleagues attempt to recover his body. However, when another vanishes they start to suspect that the life-form they have discovered is not yet dead. As the group begins to fall apart it seems their only hope is the imminent arrival of the relief ship Aurora.

Directed by Ruairi Robinson, THE LAST DAYS ON MARS stars Liev Schreiber, Elias Koteas, Romola Garai, Olivia Williams and Tom Cullen.
