If you think you’ve got it tough, you should take a look at the life of the titular character of the upcoming fantasy fairy tale PENELOPE. She, in the form of the lovely Christina Ricci, was born with a wholly disturbing pig snout, is constantly subjected to men running away screaming after taking a look at said snout, has no contact with the outside world for fear (and rightfully so) of being relentlessly ridiculed and being branded a freak and, on top of all that, she’s been cursed to remain with a pig snout until she finds someone who loves and accepts her for who she is. It’s a bummer. She’s about to find out what the outside world has to offer, though, especially when a biker chick in the form of Reese Witherspoon comes along and shows her a thing or two about letting loose even though you have a horribly offensive pig snout. You can see what I’m talking about over HERE. No stateside release date is set as yet but we’ll let you know as soon as one’s announced.
