The first trailer for the Gavin Hood directed Oscar bait drama RENDITION is out there on the interwebs for your perusal and if you’re so inclined, get it courtesy of Moviefone HERE. In it, Reese Witherspoon stars as the wife of an Egyptian national suspected of terrorism who suddenly disappears. She then teams with a CIA analyst in the form of dreamy-eyed, baby-faced Jake Gyllenhaal to find out what happened to him and in the process uncovers a conspiracy that threatens to end the world. Or at least provide an hour and a half to two hours of riveting dramatic entertainment, as only an Oscar bait drama can. The film opens October 12th.
