Lindsey Morgan to star in Skylines, sequel to Skyline and Beyond Skyline

Released in 2010, the Brothers Strause's alien invasion movie SKYLINE was not very well received – for example, The Arrow gave the movie a 5/10 review. Liam O'Donnell's 2017 sequel BEYOND SKYLINE fared a little better by pitting the aliens against the badass team of Frank Grillo, Iko Uwais, and Yayan Ruhian. Our own Eric Walkuski gave that one a 7/10 review.

The reception of BEYOND SKYLINE was enough of an improvement that we're going to be getting a follow-up to that one much quicker than it came along after SKYLINE. Highland Film Group is currently presenting the international rights to a third film in the franchise to potential buyers at the American Film Market.

XYZ Films are on board to executive produce the sequel, which is titled SKYLINES and is set to star Lindsey Morgan, reprising her BEYOND SKYLINE role of Captain Rose Corley (pictured above), "a human with extraterrestrial superpowers that mean she is the only person powerful enough to vanquish the marauders."

Scripted by Liam O'Donnell, who wrote both previous films and directed the second, SKYLINES will tell the following story:

When a virus threatens to turn earth-dwelling friendly alien hybrids against humans, Corley assembles an elite team of mercenaries on a mission to the alien world to save humanity.

O'Donnell will also be producing the film with the Brothers Strause and Matthew Chausse.

The aliens invaded our world, so now we're going to be invading their world. I haven't been blown away by either SKYLINE movie so far, but sure, I'll watch a third one if they make it.
