Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout has received a special edition Blu-ray release

Back in 1990, legendary scream queen Linnea Quigley – whose many horror movie credits include The Return of the Living Dead, Night of the Demons, Witchtrap, Graduation Day, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Nightmare Sisters, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, and Silent Night, Deadly Night – made her own hour-long, horror-themed workout video. A release that was appropriately called Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout… and which has now been given a special edition Blu-ray release! Copies can be purchased at THIS LINK.

Directed by Kenneth J. Hall, Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout has the following synopsis: After a nice shower, Linnea does some warm-up stretches and then goes for a run. She encounters some flabby zombies who follow her back to the house, where she leads them in some poolside aerobic routines. Later she unwinds by inviting some girlfriends over for a slumber party and some exercise. When something goes bump in the house, her friends begin experiencing an attrition problem.

Yep. There’s a shower scene, exercising zombies, a slasher in a Ronald Reagan mask, and Linnea’s group of slumber party friends includes Cynthia Garris.

The special edition Blu-ray release of Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout comes to us from Terror Vision, and they are “happy to have rescued and restored the master tapes for presentation here along with a 5.1 audio mix. Stacked with new and archival special features and two versions of the movie to enjoy, this is the definitive release of a true genre classic. The Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout masters were archived on 3M tape which was discovered years later to be notoriously bad for archiving films. Even though the picture and sound are great, you will see some stubborn flaws that couldn’t be fixed.
