Back in 1990, legendary scream queen Linnea Quigley – whose many horror movie credits include The Return of the Living Dead, Night of the Demons, Witchtrap, Graduation Day, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Nightmare Sisters, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, and Silent Night, Deadly Night – made her own hour-long, horror-themed workout video. A release that was appropriately called Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout… and which has now been given a special edition Blu-ray release! Copies can be purchased at THIS LINK.

Directed by Kenneth J. Hall, Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout has the following synopsis: After a nice shower, Linnea does some warm-up stretches and then goes for a run. She encounters some flabby zombies who follow her back to the house, where she leads them in some poolside aerobic routines. Later she unwinds by inviting some girlfriends over for a slumber party and some exercise. When something goes bump in the house, her friends begin experiencing an attrition problem.

Yep. There’s a shower scene, exercising zombies, a slasher in a Ronald Reagan mask, and Linnea’s group of slumber party friends includes Cynthia Garris.

The special edition Blu-ray release of Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout comes to us from Terror Vision, and they are “happy to have rescued and restored the master tapes for presentation here along with a 5.1 audio mix. Stacked with new and archival special features and two versions of the movie to enjoy, this is the definitive release of a true genre classic.
