Paramount came in last out of the major Hollywood studios in 2017 and grossed only $534 million across twelve films. XXX: THE RETURN OF XANDER CAGE, GHOST IN THE SHELL and BAYWATCH underperformed while the studio only had two films cross the $100 million mark at the box office (TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT and DADDY’S HOME 2). This year, Paramount hopes that the new year offers much more success with franchise returns in the form of BUMBLEBEE and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6 amongst several other buzzworthy projects.
