Disney announced that Star Wars: The Bad Batch will premiere on the streamer on May 4, just in time for Star Wars Day! The series premiere date was unveiled at TCA today alongside the series premiere for Marvel Studios' Loki, which is set to cause trouble for the MCU beginning on June 11.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch centers around the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army – each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

Meanwhile, Loki will see Tom Hiddleston reprising his iconic role as Loki, the God of Mischief. In what we know about the show thus far, Loki is taken to the mysterious Time Variance Authority organization after stealing the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019) and travels through time altering human history using it, ending up trapped in his own crime thriller. Joining Hiddleston for the new superhero series is Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, and Erika Coleman. Kate Herron will direct the series while Michael Waldren serves as head writer.
