joblo horror videos

If you’re a regular here at JoBlo, you’ve probably noticed that we do A LOT of stuff on YouTube. In fact, over the last few years, our original content channel, JoBlo Videos, has  exploded, with close to 500,000 subscribers and tons of popular series all written, produced, edited, and even narrated by the JoBlo staff. But, just as JoBlo’s always had a horror companion site with Arrow in the Head, now our YouTube channel does too with JoBlo Horror Videos, all under the supervision of The Arrow himself, John Fallon!

The channel’s been going strong for a few months now and already has 11, that’s right eleven original series running, including horror spin-offs of two of JoBlo Videos’ most popular ongoing series, WTF Happened to This Movie and The Best Movie You Never Saw. So far the feedback from viewers has been great, but don’t take my word for it. Check out the awesome shows that are running now (with way more to come).

WTF HAPPENED TO THIS HORROR MOVIE?!

WTF HAPPENED TO THIS HORROR MOVIE is a series that digs into the backstories of all your favorite (and sometimes most hated) horror films. The idea has always been to provide an inside look at what went right (and often what went wrong) with some of these classics (and non-classics).

WE WANT TO BELIEVE

WE WANT TO BELIEVE is a paranormal reality show that takes an un-Hollywood approach to the pseudo science of paranormal investigation. Episodes chronicle investigations by writer/director/investigator Jason Hewlett, paranormal investigator Peter Renn and their team as they tackle hauntings, spectral encounters, Bigfoot, UFO sightings, and other high strangeness, No false evidence, no camera tricks or special effects — this is the real deal; what you see is raw and intact.

THE BEST HORROR MOVIE YOU NEVER SAW

Welcome to THE BEST HORROR MOVIE YOU NEVER SAW, a column dedicated to examining horror films that have flown under the radar or gained traction throughout the years, earning them a place as a cult classic or underrated gem that was either before it’s time and/or has aged like a fine wine.

CONRAD THE BAVARIAN

CONRAD THE BAVARIAN is a neo-grindhouse, action, splatter, comedy series (aka splatcom) created by two brothers, aka the Huckbros! A kind of “Machete meets Inglorious Basterds on Planet Terror” developed from nerds for nerds who guzzled too many movies and games all of their lives. Conrad is an original episodic “overkill” grindhouse series shot in professional high-gloss but without ever losing the dirty “Drive-In cinema feel”. VHS to Videogame inspirations exploited with elements of horror, action, splatter, comedy, kung-fu and all the genres we love.

AITH HORROR HALL OF FAME

What does it take to become a Horror icon? Whether it be the filmmakers orchestrating the frights, the artists crafting the gore, or the actors engineering the scares, this series takes an in-depth look at the men and women who paved the way for the way for an entire generation of horror fans, and made the genre what it is today. We choose who goes in!

BEHIND THE (MOVIE) KILLER

Horrific murders… unexplained phenomena… slashers, monsters, or worse… it’s out there. Someone has to try and make sense of it all. That’s where we come in. Please, join Special Agent Casper Bollocks (Mike Catalano) for in-depth looks into society’s sickest psychotics. This show is similar to murder mystery series like Unsolved Mysteries and Dateline, but focusing on actual killers from movies. This is BEHIND THE (MOVIE) KILLER!

TALES FROM CREEPY PASTA

Creepypastas are the campfire tales of the Internet. Horror stories spread through forums like reddit and blogs, rather than word of mouth. Whether you believe these scary stories to be true or not is left to your own discretion and imagination.

SCARY STUDIES

Written and narrated by Cody Meirick, director of the documentary about Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, SCARY STUDIES aims to delve into the stories, the films, and the meanings behind the scary stories we tell ourselves. Just one of many scary websites and video series that can be found with Joblo and elsewhere.

DEADLY DUOS

DEADLY DUOS is Arrow in the Head’s series dedicated to featuring the iconic pairings of filmmakers who have worked together multiple times in horror films. Actors and directors, producers and composers, no matter the role or the era, every episode is a journey through the most beloved and classic (as well as obscure and forgotten) pairings that have made for the most memorable films in horror history.

THE KILL COUNTER

Ever wondered how many people lose their lives in any particular horror movie? Well, we’ve got you covered with THE KILL COUNTER, our hit new series takes out all of the guesswork and counts out each and every death on (and sometimes off) screen. Break out your calculator and try to keep up!

THE BLACK SHEEP

THE BLACK SHEEP is an ongoing video series giving the horror underdog a fair shot i.e. putting the spotlight on films that the masses loathed but that we on AITH esteemed on varied levels. And sometimes we do the opposite – rip a beloved film a new one!

We also have a VARIOUS HORROR VIDEOS section and a SHORT HORROR FILM section, which showcases short horror films from upcoming directors!
