This summer will see the first original Mike Myers non-sequel comedy – THE LOVE GURU – in a really long time. Will it be just as classic as the first AUSTIN POWERS or will people really not care? I think Myers is just a guy who’s too funny to wait this long and put out a piece of crap. He’s been fine tuning this thing for years in New York City so I’d hope it’s got all the kinks out. GURU stars Myers in a tale about a US born “love guru” helping mend fences for an NHL team whose players are involved in a love triangle with a beautiful woman. Also starring are Jessica Alba, Justin Timberlake, Romany Malco and Verne Troyer (who plays the coach…). The good ole boys at IMP Awards got a sneak peek at the teaser poster that I think I’d like better if Myers weren’t channeling Dr. Evil a bit. I do like the tagline of “His Karma Is Huge” though. You can check out a larger version of the poster you see to the right by clicking here. THE LOVE GURU hits theaters on June 20th.
