Rapper-actor Ludacris, former Nickelodeon staple Nick Cannon and “Lost” star Emilie De Ravin have signed on to star in the indie drama BALL DON’T LIE. The trio join newcomer Grayson T. Boucher (that sounds like a name you’d make up for your fake ID) who plays a teen basketball prodigy struggling to deal with life on the streets. Also cast in the film is De Ravin’s former “Lost” co-star Harold Parrineau, Rosanna Arquette and Dania Ramirez. Brin Hall is directing the film based on the book of the same name by Matt de la Pena. Luda has a supporting role as an elf in this December’s FRED CLAUS while De Ravin will fit in both this film and THE PERFECT GAME in before returning to work on “Lost” (and she should certainly have some juicy scenes upon returning to the island if you know what I mean). Cannon recently wrapped the zombie remake DAY OF THE DEAD for director Steve Miner.
