Luke & Rey begin where Force Awakens ended in this teaser for Episode VIII

Production on STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII has, for the most part, already begun, but Lucasfilm has released an announcement teaser to let us know that shooting at Pinewood studios starts today. The following clip shows us a familiar encounter from the end of THE FORCE AWAKENS, so perhaps this will be the first STAR WARS film to begin immediately after the last one? Take a look and judge for yourself!

EPISODE VIII will see the return of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. Some of the new cast members include Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran.

STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII will open in theaters on December 15, 2017.
