Machete Don’t Text! Scope a hilarious new DVD ad from Danny Trejo!

As you may know by now, MACHETE chops its way onto DVD and Blu-ray January 4th…a mere two weeks away. As such, 20th Century Fox has added a pretty funny sketch-video, called “Machete Don’t Text,” to their bank of press material for the film. In the clip, you’ll see Trejo do a little tongue-in-cheek comedy, as he claims he’d never resort to violence to solve a problem. That is, unless a jerk openly asks for it…

As we’re sure you’ve heard, Robert Rodriquez and Ethan Maniquis’ film finds the highly skilled Federale MACHETE hired by some unsavory types to assassinate a senator. But just as he’s about to take the shot, he notices someone aiming at him and realizes he’s been set up. He barely survives the sniper’s bullet, and is soon out for revenge on his former employers, with the reluctant assistance of his old friend Cheech Marin, who has become a priest and taken a vow of nonviolence. If you hire him to take out the bad guys, make sure the bad guys aren’t you!
