I Kill Giants Madison Wolfe

With the release of the film less than two months away, a trailer has arrived online to give us a look at director Anders Walter's fantasy adventure I KILL GIANTS. Based on a popular graphic novel written by Joe Kelly (who also wrote the screenplay adaptation), the film stars Zoe Saldana and THE CONJURING 2's Madison Wolfe. The story:

Barbara Thorson (Wolfe) is a teenage girl who escapes the realities of school and a troubled family life by retreating into her magical world of fighting evil giants. With the help of her new friend Sophia and her school counselor (Saldana), Barbara learns to face her fears and battle the giants that threaten her world.

Also in the cast are Sydney Wade as Barbara's friend Sophia and Imogen Poots as her older sister.

I'm not familiar with the source material, but this looks like it could be a really good film to me – especially when you take into account that this is Walter's first feature. It appears to be a very impressive debut.

Produced by Chris Columbus, Kim Magnusson, Kyle Franke, Man of Action Entertainment, Umedia, and XYZ Films, I KILL GIANTS is set to be released in theatres and on VOD and Digital HD on March 23, 2018.

If you'd like to order a copy of the graphic novel while you wait to see the movie, you can do so on Amazon.
