We’ve known that Jaume Balagueró’s [REC] 4: APOCALYPSE was headed our way sometime soon, we just didn’t know exactly when. Now that the film has finally been picked up by Magnet Releasing, they’ve announced that the fourth and supposedly final installment in the Spanish horror franchise will see a day and date release. The film lands on iTunes and Demand everywhere on Friday, January 2nd, 2015. A new trailer for [REC] 4: APOCALYPSE hit us back in August, watch that right HERE.
Here's the synopsis:
Angela wakes up in a high-security quarantine facility located in the bowels of an ocean freighter. She’s safe and sound — but unfortunately for her and her unlucky shipmates, this isolated location might just be the perfect incubator for the next mutation of a virus that rips apart bodies and souls.
