Giant apes, crocodiles and werewolves, oh my! I don't know that anyone else here at JoBlo is as excited about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's RAMPAGE as I am, but dammit, I'll be there opening night for this sucker! In fact, just last week, I fired up my Playstation and tore my way through Rampage: World Tour. My friend and I played for several hours, leveling every building we could climb and eating every last Scumlabs employee dumb enough to wave a flamethrower at our feet. It was the best of times.

Over the past few weeks, several actors have been attached to star in the classic Baily Midway video game turned disasterpiece RAMPAGE from director Brad Peyton. Among some of the stars set to battle kaiju-style monsters using the power of science are  Dwayne JohnsonNaomie Harris, Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, Breanne Hill, Jack Quaid and Matt Gerald. Now, it's being reported that BILLIONS actress Malin Akerman is in negotiations to star as the film's villain – a whip-smart head of a tech company that is behind the the creation of the monsters.

That's cool. It sounds to me like we've got several of the movie's main players already, so when can we start shooting this beast? I'm really anxious to see the creature designs for this one. I wonder if the art will will fall in line with what we know from the classic arcade game or if the design team will introduce entirely new looks for the massive monstrosities poised to stomp, swat and chew their way through the busy streets of a frightened metropolis? One thing is for sure, the moment a trailer or some mock-up creature designs cross our inbox we'll be sure to share them with you.

New Line will release RAMPAGE on April 20, 2018.
