Mare of Easttown trailer tasks Kate Winslet with solving a grisly murder

Kate Winslet stars in HBO's seven-part limited series Mare of Easttown as Mare Sheehan, a small-town Pennsylvania detective who investigates a local murder as life crumbles around her. HBO has released a new trailer for the upcoming series, which you can check out above.

The series, which was created and written by Brad Ingelsby (The Way Back) with all episodes directed by Craig Zobel (The Leftovers), will be an exploration into the dark side of a close community and an authentic examination of how family and past tragedies can define our present. In addition to Kate Winslet, Mare of Easttown also stars Guy Pearce (Mildred Pierce), Jean Smart (Watchmen), Evan Peters (American Horror Story), Julianne Nicholson (The Outsider), Angourie Rice (Spider-Man: Far from Home), Cailee Spaeny (Devs), and more.
