Truth be told, I have never seen TWIN PEAKS (The Arrow has though, he’s a big fan). There are various reasons for this – the first and most important one is that I didn’t watch it when it originally aired, so I wasn’t able to hop aboard that bandwagon; furthermore I’m always hesitant to start a new show on DVD (hey, it’s a commitment, people!). Another reason, perhaps less interesting to you folks out there, is that I had grand plans of writing a t.v. show many years ago, one that would take place in a freaky little town and involved an epic murder investigation. I feared that watching “Twin Peaks”, which I knew had a similar enough overall plot, would influence my ideas and the direction of the story, and I didn’t want to risk that.
Obviously, the t.v. show never happened, or hasn’t yet, so maybe it’s time to sit down with the notoriously out-there series, which sprung from the minds of David Lynch and Mark Frost. Frost, in an interview with ScreenRush.co.UK., talked about the inspirations for the show, how surprisingly game ABC was for their twisted ideas, and most intriguingly, leaves the door slightly ajar for a continuation of the story.

In response to the question “Do you think we’ll ever see a resolution?”, Frost had this to say: “Maybe so, there has been a lot of talk of the years of finding some way to round it off and we did explore that a couple of years ago, but it became impractical from a story standpoint. I mean all the actors are 20 years older, it’s a little harder to sell that Audrey is still in high school. It was great fun while it lasted, and it’s certainly fun to see that people are still enjoying it today.”
