In case you weren’t watching The Walking Dead last night on AMC (seriously, why weren’t you watching?) then you likely missed the premiere of the MASS EFFECT 3 cinematic trailer, which is pretty awesome as these types of trailers go.

Check it out:

Pretty cool stuff.  I played MASS EFFECT 2 and enjoyed the shit out of it, so I’ll definitely be picking up this one.  Part 3 looks to be another nice entry into the  action/sci-fi game genre that you can enjoy either individually or on multiplayer.  Since I’m not into 12-year-olds calling me an asshole on a headset, I just stick to the RPG-based gameplay on my own, but I know a lot of people enjoy the online environment.  It’s a win-win for all, I suppose.

If you’re really into this, then check out the 40-minute gameplay demo here.

The videogame property has been moving forward in a translation to film and anime, so there’s no shortage of Mass Effect entertainment on the horizon (there’s even a monthly comic).

Here’s a synopsis of the game:

Mass Effect 3 will follow from the events of the Mass Effect 2 DLC expansion Arrival and follows Commander Shepard’s mission to save the galaxy from the Reapers by rallying civilizations of the galaxy together, while also having to deal with Cerberus, who have decided to turn against him/her.

MASS EFFECT 3 hits the shelves on March 6, 2012
