Mathematical! An Adventure Time: Distant Lands teaser has arrived!

Slamacow! There's nothing like delivering some good news nowadays, and thanks to a recent Twitch stream hosted by Marceline voice actress Olivia Olson, we now have a teaser trailer for the first ADVENTURE TIME special coming out in May courtesy of HBO Max. As a way of celebrating the 10th anniversary of ADVENTURE TIME's premiere, Cartoon Network revealed the teaser for "BMO," which will serve as the first installment for ADVENTURE TIME: DISTANT LANDS.

The short but oh so sweet teaser focuses on Finn's sword, which when gazing into the weapon's awesome metal, reflects images of several characters that hail from ADVENTURE TIME's magical Land of Ooo. If you look closely, ADVENTURE TIME aficionados might notice that a few of the images are taken from before the show's "Come Along With Me" series finale. What this means for the upcoming special is anyone's guess, though fans of the series should expect nothing short of several surprises when Finn, Jake, and all of their friends make a welcomed return to the pop culture zeitgeist.

As it was previously reported, ADVENTURE TIME: DISTANT LANDS will be a continuation of the series proper. In other words, prepare to have some of your burning questions answered, and be ready to indulge in more off-the-wall antics as some of your favorite characters return for more shenanigans.

"BMO" follows the lovable robot from the series. When there's a deadly space emergency in the farthest reaches of the galaxy, there's only one hero to call, and it's probably not BMO — except this time, it is. Premieres in 2020.

"Obsidian" features Marceline and Princess Bubblegum as they journey to the imposing, beautiful Glass Kingdom — and deep into their tumultuous past — to prevent an earthshaking catastrophe. Premieres in 2020.

"Wizard City" centers on Peppermint Butler, starting over at the beginning as just another inexperienced Wizard School student. Mysterious events on campus cast suspicion on Pep and his checkered past; can he master the mystic arts in time to prove he's innocent? Premiere date TBD.

"Together Again" reunites Finn and Jake to rediscover their brotherly bond and embark on the most important adventure of their lives. Premiere date TBD.
