Here we go! Just as Sam Raimi’s SPIDER-MAN 4 spins into production, rabid fan-boy message boards and overpopulated chat-rooms (are chat-rooms still in existence?) are all atwitter regarding casting decisions. And why wouldn’t they? After-all, Raimi has locked such revered actors as Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, J.K Simmons, hell – even Cliff Robertson has been in the mix of past Spidey exploits!
So I guess it comes as no real surprise when Mania.com has preliminary reports of one Rachel McAdams being added to the cast. Word is she just may be tapped to play long-time Peter Parker foil Black Cat in the 4th block-busting installment.
For those in the know not (as myself), Black Cat is the alter-ego of Felicia Hardy – a nice by day, bad by night petty burglar with ulterior motives of breaking her pops out of the slammer. Oh, and she tries to saddle up to our boy Pete for a little lone time (which, judging by the picture above, becomes clear I’ve been reading the wrong magazines).
Of course, this is yet to be confirmed or denied, and even though Dylan Baker has confided he’ll be back in part 4, there’s no definitive telling if his Lizard character will be Spidey’s number one with a bullet. Good old Pete just may have to battle more than one foe this go around.
Stay tuned for more!
