McBride’s Hench

JoBloJoBlo

Warner Bros. have acquired the graphic novel “Hench” to be adaptaed into a film of the same name for Danny McBride. Shawn Harwell (“Eastbound and Down”) will write the script with McBride, about a football player who suffers a career-ending injury and gets a job as a henchman to a successful villain. You can read a little more on the original graphic novel by Adam Beechen HERE.

This sounds pretty good, so I’m down. Except for the part where it was a graphic novel first. Are we seriously making all of those things into films? What about real, meaningful literature? There are so many great writers out there. Why nobody wants to option my work is just beyond me. It’s almost like I’m not considered to be the voice of an entire generation. I guess those people who say that are full of shit. I guess my grandparents doing know anything.
