Sir Ian McKellen has confirmed that will be reprising his role as Gandalf the Gray in the upcoming Guillermo Del Toro picture THE HOBBIT. He told Empire: “Well, I haven’t had the contract yet but it’s everyone’s intention that I play Gandalf so yes, I will be returning to the role. Although it’s not until 2010, I’m very much excited about returning.”
Umm isn’t this just the same shit that we’ve been hearing for like 6 months now? There’s no way anyone else is gonna be cast in this role. At this point every time we report on this story we might as well be reporting that the sky is blue or that ninjas are awesome.
