“American Idol” loser Katherine McPhee has signed on to co-star in an upcoming Adam Sandler produced comedy for Columbia Pictures. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Taylor Hicks. McPhee joins Anna Faris in the untitled comedy about a Playboy bunny (Faris) who gets kicked out of the Playboy Mansion and takes up residence at a lame UCLA sorority. McPhee will play one of the loser girls, a pregnant hippy. Also joining the cast of the film are Emma Stone, Rumer Willis and Kat Dennings who will play fellow sorority losers. Don’t be shocked that all that these four women are actually pretty hot and supposed to be playing losers. As you might expect from this type of movie, they all get makeovers and prove to the other alpha guys/girls they’re really not dorks. The project is McPhee’s first starring role in a studio feature. She recently signed on to star in the indie romantic comedy THE LAST CALLER. Filming on the project is expected to begin next week in Los Angeles.
