Meadow Walker, the daughter of the late Paul Walker, has yet to appear in any of the Fast and the Furious movie…until now. As revealed recently, Meadow Walker makes a cameo in the tenth installment of the franchise. Now, the 24-year-old model is explaining why it was finally time to join the family.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Fast X, Meadow Walker said this installment was the opportune time for her to honor her late father on the big screen and why her cameo’s subtlety is what makes it so special. “For me, I’ve always thought about honoring my dad, and this was such a big part of his life, and my life, of course. I was just waiting for the right moment, and I wanted to do something super small and simple that was almost like an Easter egg. If you didn’t know who I was, you wouldn’t even notice it…My dad was very humble, very simple, so I thought the best way is to have a special little moment…I left my little mark, and I can always share that with him.”

Meadow Walker even offered a tease of her Fast X cameo on Instagram last week, saying she was “born into the fast family”:

Meadow Walker stayed mostly out of the spotlight until launching her career, later modeling for the likes of Givenchy. She married in 2021, being given away by her godfather and close friend of her father, Vin Diesel.

Paul Walker died in a car crash in 2013. He had six Fast and Furious credits, with his final appearance being Furious 7, released posthumously. To complete production, Walker’s brothers Caleb and Cody stepped up as stand-ins. The song “See You Again” would end up serving as its own tribute, one many joining Meadow Walker’s own in the years following her father’s untimely death.

Fast X pulls into theaters on May 19th, while its immediate sequel is set for a 2025 release.
