As exciting as a title like that is,
I must say that I am rather ashamed of myself that all I can do to back up that
claim is to show you the image above of Vinnie Jones looking tip top while
standing aboard a train platform. I know it’s not very exciting, but it is a
still from the latest Clive Barker adaptation MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, so
it’s still cool in my books. (Check out a bigger version of the
still above
here
.)

For those unfamiliar with the Barker
story, MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN is about a photographer who is investigating
some cannibalistic happenings on the subway system in New York.

Also as a side note for MEAT
TRAIN
, our own JimmyO happened to have a sit down with Vinnie Jones last
month and talked about his latest film THE CONDEMNED, and in it Jones
briefly mentions MEAT TRAIN. He say’s

I’ve got contact lenses which I wear that are oozing out blood. It is incredible
what they can do now, but they are really using technology as gruesome as they
can. I skin two people on the train. I hook them up by their Achilles [tendons]
and actually skin them.”
He actually talks a lot about horror in general
in the interview, and if you have the time I would highly recommend checking it
out

here.

MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN is being
helmed by
VERSUS
director Ryuhei Kitamura, and I’m going
to go out on a limb and say that’s since it’s Kitamura directing it’s going to
be extremely gorey and extremely awesome!
