Shocking, I know. After launching insolent comments last summer regarding the artistic quality of Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS pictures, Mr. Bay has seemingly dumped A-list looker Megan Fox. She will not be returning for TRANSFORMERS 3.
Word comes from Deadline Hollywood, who claims the decision comes directly from Bay himself. Makes sense I suppose, after-all, would you like to continue going to work with someone who compared you to Hitler?
It’s also said that Bay and screenwriter Ehren Kruger are intent on hashing out a new love interest for Shia LaBeouf that makes more sense with the story. No word if they’ll wait to finish the script before casting, or if they’ll run out immediately to find a replacement for Fox.
As for Megan, this can’t be a good thing for her or her career. Sure she has JONAH HEX out next month, but after headlining a box-office tanker last fall (JENNIFER’S BODY), she needs all the good graces she can get right now.
