Michael Giacchino puts his spin on the 1960’s Spider-Man theme

Spider-Man Homecoming 1960's

"Spider-Man, Spider-Man. Does whatever a spider can. Spins a web, any size, catches thieves, just like flies. Look out! Here comes the Spider-Man!" That will be stuck in your head for the entire weekend. You're welcome. The theme song from the 1960's animated Spider-Man TV series is well known, and it seems that there may be a place for it in the upcoming SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING. Michael Giacchino will be composing the score for the Jon Watts film, and he took to Twitter to share his take on the old Spidey theme. It's well worth a listen, check it out!

Of course there's no guarantee that Michael Giacchino's interpretation of the theme will find its way into SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, it could just be a bit of fun, but I'd love to see it pop up somewhere in the film. What do you folks think?

The official synopsis for SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING:

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING is set for a July 7, 2017 release.
