Michael Keaton has taken to Instagram to tease his return as Batman. Keaton will be returning as the character in Ezra Miller’s The Flash in a role that won’t just be a simple cameo and he’ll be appearing in at least one more DC project after that, HBO Max’s Batgirl movie.

This is actually going to be a big Batman year. We get the highly anticipated The Batman on March 4, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the last time we saw Michael Keaton in the role in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns, which opened on June 19, 1992. Keaton returns as Batman in this year’s The Flash on November 4, 2022, and that film will also see Ben Affleck returning for a moment as the Caped Crusader. If you’re a Batman fan, this is your year.
Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Batgirl stars Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl and it will explore her donning the guise of the titular character to fight crime. The film also stars J.K. Simmons, Brendan Fraser, and Ivory Aquino.
