UPDATE – Milano will not be playing Barrett specifically but a new character titled Dr. Ilyssa Selwyn that was created to step in for the Barrett role. A new promo video has popped up online that features Milano talking about her role in the game (she was approached less than three months ago) that you can watch here.
Alyssa Milano will play the role of Dana Barrett in an upcoming GHOSTBUSTERS videogame, written by Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis.This, of course, is the role that was previously played by Sigourney Weaver. Milano was approached when Weaver turned down the opportunity to reprise the role. Milano said:
“Obviously, fans of the movie are going to miss Sigourney Weaver… I have so much respect for that character in the movie that I hope I do the position that she is in justice. I was just flattered to be asked to be part of ‘Ghostbusters’.”
Of course, the best part of the story is that it makes me 2-0 today for articles with hot chicks.
