Many months ago, Ammon and I were thrilled to speak with actress Jon Mack, with whom we spoke about a little feature called MONGOLIAN DEATH WORM. Yes, that’s the most promising title ever, and I’m very glad to see I won’t have to be waiting for it much longer. Syfy is airing the film on MAY 8th; because we’re all foaming at the mouth to get a look, Hulu has premiered a sneak peek, which can be watched below. Indeed, it seems as though it’s another home run for the channel, which recently hit a grand slam with MEGA PIRANHA. The footage is riveting, and makes all the sense in the world, in true Syfy fashion.

When an American oil company sets up an experimental drilling plant out in the vast deserts of Mongolia, they awaken a nest. The deadly creatures begin to breed and spread, devouring everyone in their path. The only person who can stop them is a treasure hunter and adventure seeker who spent his life searching for a legendary tomb, fabled to be protected by the Death Worms. He knows he must do what he can to kill the creatures, but stopping these monsters may mean destroying his life’s work forever!

In addition to Ms. Mack, the film stars Sean Patrick Flannery and Victoria Pratt (pictured below). My favorite moment in the clip is Flannery’s weird laugh after blowing up a drum of gasoline. What’s yours?
