Monster Hunter Removed from Chinese Cinemas for “racist scene”.

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Monster Hunter, MovieIt would appear that China was not too pleased with a particular 10-second clip featured in the video-game-based action film Monster Hunter. After word of the scene got out, the film was promptly pulled from all Chinese theaters across the country. If you'd care to have a look at the scandalous scene in question, here ya go:

What do you think? Is being pulled from all Chinese cinemas an appropriate punishment? Honestly, I'm more offended by the lame-ass dialogue, but I am not Chinese. It really seems like a throwaway bit and probably didn't need to be included in the first place. Please, let us know your thoughts below.

Monster Hunter stars Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, Meagan Good (BRICK, D.E.B.S.), Tip 'T.I.' Harris (ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, AMERICAN GANGSTER), Diego Boneta (TERMINATOR: DARK FATE, ROCK OF AGES), Josh Helman (MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE), Jin Au-Yeung (2 FST 2 FURIOUS, THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS), and Ron Perlman (HELLBOY, SONS OF ANARCHY). It hits theaters on Christmas Day, December 25th.
