Get ready to experience Moon Girl magic because Marvel’s smartest 13-year-old is about to star in an animated series filled with villains, adventure, and a giant red dinosaur! Disney Branded Television just let loose a Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur trailer that’s colorful, playful, and true to the spirit of the whip-smart Marvel character. The first six episodes of the series will be available on February 15 on Disney+, following the February 10 premiere on the Disney Channel.

Along with the trailer, DBT released the series hero key art and a pre-save soundtrack so fans can enjoy the show’s music from Executive Music Producer and three-time Grammy Award winner Raphael Saadiq. The soundtrack will be available on February 10.

As a major fan of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur from the beginning, I can’t wait to meet them and the rest of the cast. Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur comic was a delight when it stomped onto shelves. While I admit that Lunella can be full of herself on the best days, that can happen when you’re the most intelligent character in the Marvel Universe. I’m excited to see how Disney will portray Lunella, including her attitude and aptitude for solving problems on the fly. Marvel has a significant opportunity to position Lunella as a strong protagonist, and I hope they take advantage of it.

Per the official press release for Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur:

Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur follows the adventures of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette (aka Moon Girl) and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur. After Lunella accidentally brings Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City, the duo works together to protect the city’s Lower East Side from danger.

The series stars Diamond White as Lunella/Moon Girl; Fred Tatasciore as Devil Dinosaur; Alfre Woodard as Lunella’s grandmother, Mimi; Libe Barer as Lunella’s best friend and manager, Casey; Sasheer Zamata as Lunella’s mom Adria; Jermaine Fowler as Lunella’s dad, James Jr.; Gary Anthony Williams as Lunella’s grandfather, Pops; and series executive producer Laurence Fishburne in the recurring role of The Beyonder, a curious and mischievous trickster.

The season one guest cast includes Gideon Adlon, Pamela Adlon, Anna Akana, Ian Alexander, Alison Brie, May Calamawy, Andy Cohen, Wilson Cruz, Daveed Diggs, Asia Kate Dillon, Luis Guzmán, Maya Hawke, Jennifer Hudson, Dr. Mae Jemison, Josh Keaton, June Diane Raphael, Paul Scheer, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Cobie Smulders, Wesley Snipes, and Tajinae Turner. Recurring stars include Omid Abtahi, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Michael Cimino, Indya Moore, and Craig Robinson.

I’m freaking out because I can’t get over how good the new Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur trailer is hitting. Much like Kamala Khan, Lunella has a bright future ahead of her. The Marvel Universe will never be the same once they get a load of Moon Girl’s smarts, ingenuity, bravery, and ability to swap brains with a 10-ton dinosaur! Let’s do this!
