Morbius: What Did You Think?

Well, folks, the reviews are in for Morbius, and they aren’t pretty. I gave it a mediocre 6/10 review, but given how negative the reviews have been otherwise (a measly 16% on Rotten Tomatoes), that almost qualifies as a rave. Indeed, I thought Morbius was an OK, low-key superhero movie. It reminded me of the genre movies companies like Screen Gems pumped out in the 2000s, but I think the public’s expectations for superhero movies have been raised in recent years. Simply put, mediocrity doesn’t cut it anymore – at least not when you have the MCU putting out movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home, while DC had a masterpiece with The Batman. In comparison, Morbius seems pretty minor.

All that said now’s the time for all of you to let us know what you thought of Sony’s Morbius. Are you eager to see more from the character, or was it bad enough that you feel it should be a one-and-done entry? Was it as bad as the critics suggest? Did Jared Leto do a good job in the lead? And how about those two post-credit scenes and easter eggs – what do we make of all of those?

Be sure to let us know what you thought in the comments, but beware, there will be SPOILERS aplenty, so if you haven’t seen Morbius yet, maybe skip the comments and see the movie for yourself and then dive back in. You’ve been warned! Also – check out some of the interviews we did with the folks involved below:
