New images, concept art, and trailer for Marvel’s Phase 2 films: The Falcon’s costume, Thor in action, and more!

Yesterday there was some pretty excellent concept art for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY released and we weren’t sure if the images were leaked and how long they would stay up. Turns out the pictures were from some of the extras that come with the Phase One briefcase. The set contains all six of Marvel’s Phase 1 films and includes a “Top Secret” disc, which I’m sure is where most of these images are coming from.

Bleeding Disgusting has some more Phase 2 goodies that cover all of the upcoming films from Marvel. First up there’s this piece of concept art of Iron Man. I’m not sure if it’s a piece that’s for IRON MAN 3 or Iron Man’s involvement in other Phase 2 films but take take a look and tell me what you think:

Next there is some concept art for THOR: THE DARK WORLD as well as several images of a battle that appears in the film. There’s also some shots of Thor doing what he does best when he’s on Earth: massive property damage.

We got a good look at the Winter Soldier from the concept art that was released yesterday and there’s another image of the character today. The Falcon also makes an appearance in his own set of images and the costume looks much better than I thought it would. I feel like CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER isn’t getting as much hype as the other Marvel films (except maybe GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY) but adding the Winter Soldier to the mix has me pumped and I think the film is going to surprise a lot of people.

Speaking of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, there’s a new piece of concept art of Rocket Raccoon that was released as well. Out of all the characters from the Marvel films (so far) the handling of Rocket Raccoon I think is the one that intrigues people the most. Although it’s just concept art I really like how realistic of a look they went with for the character and it bodes well for how he may end up on screen.

To finish things up here’s a new trailer for Marvel’s Phase 2 that has been released on the site Daily Motion. It’s pretty much an extension of the trailer from yesterday that focused on Iron Man, but this one covers all of the upcoming films and teases us with some shots from the concept trailer that Edgar Wright filmed for ANT-MAN.

If you’re not excited for Phase 2 now, I just don’t know what to tell you. The next chapter starts when IRON MAN 3 is released on May 3rd, 2013, followed by THOR: THE DARK WORLD on November 8th, 2013, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER on April 4th, 2014, and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY on August 1st, 2014. Phase 2 wraps up when THE AVENGERS 2 lands in theaters on May 1st, 2015 before ANT-MAN finally gets his chance on the big screen on November 6th, 2015.
