After an unceremonious delay, it seems Barry Sonenfeld’s MEN IN BLACK III is back under the lens. In specific, a scene was filmed Wednesday at a diner known as Relish in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Not only do we have a trio of photos to prove it, we also have a detail or two about future shooting locations on the rocky second sequel. Let’s roll it…
As you can see, photos of Will Smith as Agent J and Josh Brolin as a young agent K are on display, as are the light-cycle peeps we’ve seen in the previous films. In addition, word has seeped in that filming will commence next month at the Grashorn Building on Coney Island, a monument slated for demolition not so long after. Making history, yo!
Checking May 25th, 2012 – here’s what we know about MEN IN BLACK III so far:
In addition to Smith as Agent J, Tommy Lee Jones reprises his role as the wisecracking Agent K in the present (the part already shot). Josh Brolin, through a time-travel twist, plays a young Agent K from 1969 who encounters countercultural figures such as Andy Warhol and Yoko Ono.
Tommy Lee Jones, Alice Eve (below), Emma Thompson, Gemma Arterton, Betty White and Nicole Scherzinger help round out the support.
