At first, the new trailer for SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS hints at what we didn’t get the first time — a cerebral showdown between our famed sleuth and his nemesis, Professor Moriarty. And then it becomes some blusterous thing that seems one giant steampunk spider shy of WILD WILD WEST.
If it’s ludicrous explosive period action and occasional cross-dressing you’re craving from the brilliant detective and his loyal associate, you’ll probably be in heaven with director Guy Ritchie’s sequel.
The synopsis: Sherlock Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room…until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large–Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris)–and not only is he Holmes’ intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective.
