More Watchmen cast?

JoBloJoBlo

While I was out catching up on some summer movies (finally saw LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD), the boys at Latino Review and IESB.net broke some scoops wide open on WATCHMEN casting. Pretty much what we know at this point is that Jackie Earle Haley and Billy Crudup are confirmed. But now we have word who will be playing Ozymandias and Silk Spectre Sally in the film. If you’d be guessing the previously rumored Jude Law and Kate Winslet, you’d be reading too many gossip sites. The real word is that Malin Akerman will play Sally and Matthew Goode will play Ozymandias. Certainly two names that never came up during the early rumor rounds but decent choices nonetheless. Akerman you might remember from her hot thresome on “Entourage” or whipping out her jubblies in HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE (NSFWness follows). Goode is probably best known for his role in Woody Allen’s MATCH POINT but was also recently starring in THE LOOKOUT. It certainly seems that Zack Snyder is keeping the cast low-key and will spend more of that money on the film’s effects. Sounds like a smart plan to me. Expect more announcements this weekend at the Comic-Con and stay tuned to JoBlo.com for live breaking updates from Hall H on WATCHMEN and more!
