Oh that Production Weekly with its informative tweets. Yesterday, they were telling us that ECLIPSE would be getting underway this August in Vancouver. Now they’ve got more news for us: MOTHER’S DAY, to be directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, will begin production on AUGUST 24th in Winnipeg. Filming will go on until OCTOBER 9th.
That puts the flick on track to be released some time in 2010; Mother’s Day (mid-May) is a possibility – but I would also guess October is too. Bousman is directing from Scott Milam’s script; Brett Ratner is just one of many producers behind this naughty mommy.
The new flick sounds like a divergence from the original. This time it would appear Mother and her boys invade a house that used to belong to them, terrorizing the family that resides there. In the original, the twisted group hijacks some camping ladies and brings them back to their hellish home to torture and rape them. Hilarity ensues.
Expect to hear casting announcements very soon.
