Disney reveals titles for Scarlet Witch/Vision, Falcon/Winter Soldier shows

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

marvel, series, scarlet witchMonths ago news broke that Marvel and Disney were developing a show around MCU duo Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) and now the official title for the show has been unveiled: “WandaVision.” You read that right. It’s not called “Scarlet Witch and Vision” or “Vision and Scarlet Witch” or even “Red and Yellow” – but “WandaVision.” If that sounds weird then too bad because while that could’ve been the name of a sweet Wanda Sykes VR game the title will soon be plastered all over Disney+ as one of their first streaming series.

The announcement of the title came during the ongoing Disney+ presentation, where the company is finally unveiling all the details of their upcoming streaming service. The series is being run by CAPTAIN MARVEL and the upcoming Black Widow movie scribe Jac Schaffer, who will also write the first episode of the show. Another team-up show was confirmed by Disney at the presentation – the series starring Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) – which is aptly titled FALCON AND WINTER SOLDIER.

Stars Bettany and Stan took to social media to comment on the news, with Bettany enthusiastically writing, “Soooooooooo… Turns out this is gonna happen with me and my ol Chum @elizabetholsenofficial AND IT IS GONNA BE AMAZING!”

Stan, however, wrote something that seems perfectly in line with how you think the Winter Soldier would react to the news: “Ok.”

This comes on the heels of news breaking yesterday that Marvel also plans to make a series around Clint Barton/Hawkeye starring Jeremy Renner, and all three of these series will also join a series around Loki starring Tom Hiddleston as a full slate of Marvel shows for the streaming service.

While we wait to see what these shows have in store for our heroes, other Avengers will have their moment in AVENGERS: ENDGAME, in theaters April 26.
