First trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them arriving next week

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I hope you like trailers, because the road leading up to STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS (and the week following most likely) will be filled to the brim with them. Warner Bros. upcoming Harry Potter spin-off, FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM, has been filming for several months and our first glimpse at Newt Scamander and his wizarding pals in action will be arriving soon. The studio has revealed that an "announcement trailer" for FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM will be released on December 15th.

In the meantime, you can check out the announcement trailer…for the announcement trailer.

Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander in FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM, which also counts Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, Carmen Ejogo, Jenn Murray, Faith Wood-Blagrove, and Colin Farrell among its cast.

The synopsis of FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM:

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures.  Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM will be released on November 18, 2016.
