Friends Reunion Delayed Indefinitely at HBO Max

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

So someone told me FRIENDS was gonna be delaaaayed (clap-clap-clap-clap)! Damn it! Yes, it was just released that the Central Perk pals' upcoming unscripted reunion special for HBO Max has been put on hold due to ongoing COVID concerns. I really hate reporting this. My whole family loves that show and I was looking forward to welcoming an episode that they haven't made me watch over 1,000 times! I mean, this is worse than the one where they were on a break!

The reunion special was supposed to begin shooting way back in March with a live studio audience. Of course, those plans were scrapped with the hopes of picking things back up before the end of summer. Well, now we don't know when shooting will begin. The special was supposed to air in May to inaugurate the launch of HBO Max, as the streaming service is set to be the new home for all 10 seasons of the still popular comedy series. If worse comes to worse, I say throw Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer in an empty coffee house with a couple cameramen and film away! What do you think? Were you looking forward to this reunion finally happening? Please, pick a wicked wango card and answer in the comments section below!
